I have been cheated on by my girlfriend, and I know she wants me back. She should read this. Ha. We were together for 5 years with about 10 months of break time. (time when we weren’t together) I was 19 this Feburary when it happened. her case was very unique, because it was both physical and emotional cheating, Mostly emotional. It does seem like this kind of cheating is much more difficult to forgive opposed to a one night stand. To elaborate, she was seeing this guy from school a little too much months before she confessed. Driving to his house an hour away in a blizzard, randomly telling me she spent the night at his house a week after she did it. That kind of crap. To give the ladies who are in the same position as my ex girlfriend some advice, the first in trying to make it work or win him back or be happy together, is to be happy with yourself. Let’s face it, you probably feel like a piece of worthless shit if you genuinely realized your mistake and regret it. Before you can make any attempt in trying to earn forgiveness from him, you need to earn it from yourself first. The first thing you can do is if you are in a relationship, rebound of not, get out of it! Learning to be happy being alone allows one to appreciate another’s company. re-connect with girlfriends, work extra hours, get into some hobbies some more, whatever your thing is. This not only gives yourself time to feel better about yourself, but also allows the person you cheated on to blow some steam off, that should never be blown at you. If you feel like it is a good idea to let him vent at you for cheating just because you get to speak with them, try to stop. It never helped to talk to my ex when she contacted me, it just made me remember what she did and how hurt i was by it. I learned that personally through this experience. After you feel content with the thought of not being with him, you are on the right track. The first step to winning them back is obviously being friends first. From my experience, going from broken up back to together in one step is impossible. I wouldn’t want to even if she threw herself at me this instant! Casual conversation through networking is a good start.(and a good indicator because if he is ignoring you, you are wasting your time and should go back to your hobbies. lol) It may seem like it is easy to win friendship back, but the thing you need to win back first before you can win the heart is trust. The crappy part is that that is nearly impossible to overcome a break in trust, especially a bond of trust such as love. Using your personaly judgement on the situation when taking any of this advice will help, as all cases are different. I can not honestly answer whether it is better to tell them how you feel about wanting them back before you are somewhat close as friends again. 2 months into our breakup,(Mind that we haven’t communicated at all except for a brief birthday since the break at this point) she started frequently texting me and i finally asked her if she was ok and she replied “no, but ill live,” Now myself (and most of your guys if they are genuine like you) don’t wish an ex dead even if they cheated on you. So i asked her if she wanted to talk on the phone instead of text and she said yes. When she called later, after 5 min of casual convo, she spills her heart on me with “she wants to be buried next to me” and blah blah. (I don’t remember and i was so pissed when she told me! lol) It has now been almost 4 months since the breakup, and I still don’t know if i could ever be with her again. Trying to win someone back is never a guarantee and one should be prepared for rejection when attempting to win back. It is not for certain that you will never succeed, but it is something that will probably require a lot of patience, work, and all your heart. If you are a genuine girl reading this, you should have no problem doing this.

I have a very “different” view on cheating. If someone cheats on you you should leave them. if you choose not to, then you just take whatever you just and not complain about it. On the flip side, if you cheat on someone and get caught, you shouldn’t really try to get them back because there is off chance that they’ll only do the same thing back to you eventually. Funny thing is that you can’t really say anything to them about it because you were once “that person” and SHOULD be more understanding.

End of the story is, cheating should never be done for the sake of the sanity or both parties. Even if you get back together, there will ALWAYS be trust issues…

What would you say about a guy who has been cheating on a girl (black girl that is) and she forgives him every time? Then instead of putting her on a pedal stool he just acts like “what ever i cheated so many times and she takes me back all the time i can treat her how i want and she will still stay” then the girl ends up cheating on him. No fault of her just the fact that she wanted revenge?
